Vacations are never quite long enough. In the past 10 days I've visited
Guelph, Kingston, Toronto & Montreal. Even if I could quantify the
number of family & friends that I have seen in this trip it would do
little to measure the excitement and fun I've enjoyed.

The last few days of the trip was a lovely visit in Montreal for my
cousin Ruth's wedding to a very lucky man names Phillip. Ruth is a big
fan of Sex and the City, so I have no doubt that it was an intentional
tribute to the show that she merged Charlotte's weddings -- one
Scottish, one Jewish -- into a real culture melange. Kilts, folk
dancing and bag pipes met Horas, Huppas, and tartan-printed Kippas. It
was an enthusiastic evening that was a fitting start to what is sure to
be a wonderful marriage.
